Dr. Moghekar is Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery, & Otolaryngology and Director, CSF Disorders Program at John Hopkins School of Medicine. His research interests include identifying biomarkers of neurodegenerative disorders including Alzheimer’s disease and Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus. Dr. Moghekar has played a key role in the long-standing Johns Hopkins BIOCARD study, which tracked patients for decades.

His work established that core CSF biomarkers for Alzheimer’s begin to change 15 to 20 years before the onset of clinical symptoms, and he has contributed to the development of FDA-approved blood tests for early Alzheimer’s detection.

Dr. Woodward is the Vice Chair of Clinical Services in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at The University of Kansas Health System (UKHS). She is also the Medical Director of Ambulatory Operations and Population Health Informatics where she leads clinical optimization and data driven innovation across the primary care enterprise.

Dr. Woodward maintains an active primary care practice and is triple boarded in Family Medicine, Clinical Informatics, and Preventive Medicine. In addition to her work at UKHS, she serves as the Medical Director of Quality and Performance Measurement at the American Academy of Family Physicians whereby she assists in guiding national strategies to improve care quality and outcomes in family medicine.

Dr. Burns is the Edward H. Hashinger Professor of Medicine, a University Distinguished Professor, and the Co-Director of the University of Kansas Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (KU ADRC)— one of 33 nationally designated centers in the country. He also directs the Department of Neurology's Neurocognitive Division, the Clinical and Translational Science Unit (Fairway, and the KU ADRC’s Clinical Core, a site for national clinical trial networks. He also started the Alzheimer’s clinical research program at the University of Kansas Medical Center (2004).
